On June 9, Tech Global met for a video call with the representatives of the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of the Congo. At the meeting the parties discussed further cooperation that had been outlined during the Russia-Africa forum in October 2019.
The Congo representatives got introduced to the capabilities of Russian companies in implementing the digital transformation strategy adopted in the Congo in May 2019. The meeting saw the presentation of concrete solutions for building and ensuring the security of critical infrastructure developed by T8. T8 is a leading manufacturer of telecommunications equipment for optical communication networks (DWDM) in Russia and CIS countries.
Russia ranks first in international ratings in those key areas that the Congo sees as its priority - e-government and digital services for citizens and businesses. Léon Juste Ibombo, Minister of Communications of the Republic of the Congo, noted that the Russian experience will be in great demand in the Congo when it comes to implementing the 2025 strategy. To intensify joint work, the parties will consider the possibility of launching projects in the format of public-private partnership. The minister also expressed interest in training Congolese ICT specialists in Russia.
"We are grateful to Tech Global for supporting our company. For us, working with Tech Global is an opportunity to find new customers, with whom we would not have been able to start negotiations without government support. Thanks to Tech Global , we immediately get a chance to reach out to ministry-level and state company-level decision-makers, showing them our products and agreeing on concrete steps. The public-private projects with non-CIS countries currently under discussion can open us up to scaling our business," said Alexey Ivanov, T8 Deputy General Director for International Sales and GR.
