On July 29, Tech Global, the Embassy of India in Russia and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) organized a webinar "Russia-India: Cooperation in the ICT Sphere". Russian technology companies, the largest Indian IT companies, and representatives of government organizations took part in this event.
The event was opened by D.B. Venkatesh Varma, Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation, Ajay Prakash Sokhni, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and IT of India, and a representative of FICCI.
The webinar consisted of two panel discussions. The first focused on the two countries' cooperation in the field of new technologies. Tech Mahindra and Wipro Technologies, the largest Indian system integrators, as well as a representative of the Telecommunications Department of the Government of India attended. Russia was represented by Skolkovo IT cluster and Rostelecom.
The second panel discussion focused on cooperation in the digital economy. Infosys and Zoho Corporation represented India in the discussion. Russia was represented by Russoft, AFK Sistems, Kaspersky Lab and the Association of Developers and Manufacturers of Electronics.
Other Russian ICT companies, whose exports are supported by Tech Global, also attended.
As a result of the event, the parties identified the most promising areas of cooperation and expressed interest in joint projects. India will be able to learn more about Russian products within the framework of a separate business visit.
