On August 25-26
, the 5th Tarapacá International Mineral Extraction Congress (CIMIT) was held, bringing together companies and Chilean state agencies. Webinars and business conferences were held online. The main topic was the recovery of Chile's economy after the pandemic. Oleg Arsenyev
, sales director of Tech Global in the Latin America region, made a presentation on 'Digital transformation in the mining industry in the post-pandemic era'. His main topics were the cases of using drones in geological exploration, transitioning to the 'smart mining' model, using predictive analytics, transport management programs and implementing the internet of things.
The audience got interested in the Tech Global cases. The manufacturers agreed that Chile would benefit from robotization, as its arrival will allow for fewer employees to perform the same amount of work at the enterprise. Artificial intelligence was also discussed with great interest. Tech Global demonstrated AI solutions that are compatible with existing hardware to the audience. In times of crisis, upgrading the current fleet is an advantageous alternative to purchasing new equipment.
Chile was optimistic about Russian technological export. Russia is a world leader in mineral extraction, both in terms of its export volumes and the modernization scale of its enterprises. Chilean producers would like to use Russian experience and technologies to improve their own economic efficiency.
Tech Global offers its interested customers an individual technology transfer model. The company is ready to supply Russian tech solutions to Chile and to other Latin American countries. Tech Global is also responsible for creating an IT architecture tailored to the customer's needs, localizing solutions and training the staff.
