A digital business meeting with the UAE took place on 23 June. During this event, Russian ICT companies presented their solutions and established business contacts with potential customers from the Arab Emirates. The event was organized by Tech Global and NCC UAE.
Russia's Maxim Parshin, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, and George Mikaberidze, Tech Global General Director, opened the event. The representatives of the following ICT companies took part in the working sessions: Antor, Geoscan, State Corporation Granit, IRKOS, Kaspersky Lab, Lanit-Terkom, Novy Disk, Supertel, T8, UNIT, Adwist, Getmobit, Iva Technologies, Ntechlab, Searchinform, VAS-Experts, Zecurion.
The UAE Telecommunication Regulatory Authority' representatives opened the event: Mohammad Al-Zarooni, Executive Director for E-Government, and Majid Al-Madlum, Head of the UAE Digital Innovation Center. The event was attended by representatives of the municipalities of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, the ministries of health, energy, finance, infrastructure development, defense and the interior. The conference was also attended by the representatives of the Smart Cities of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah and Ajman, as well as the Dubai Police. The companies attending the event included Sibca, Etisalat, Evoteq and Injazat Data Systems.
The business visit was divided into four sessions: solutions for the state, solutions for municipal authorities and state companies, solutions for infrastructure and telecommunications, corporate solutions. During the sessions Russian companies presented their solutions in full detail and highlighted how they can be implemented in the UAE market. Tech Global representatives and NCC UAE moderated the working sessions as well as the roundtable on how ICT solutions can help recover from the results of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mohammad Al-Zarooni, Executive Director of e-Government at the UAE Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA), noted:
"Tech Global and NCC UAE noted that the UAE organisations were interested in Russian products. Cybersecurity, smart cities, digital medicine were the topics that attracted special interest. In case the UAE is interested in implementing Russian products, Tech Global is ready to provide support with the launch of projects with Russian participation."
